The yet to be released ‘Two Brides and a Baby’, starring the likes of Stella Damasus, Kalu Ikeagwu, Keira Hewatch, O.C Ukeje, Blessing Effiom Egbe, Okey Uzoeshi, Chelsea Eze and others has garnered a new feat as it bags twelve nominations from the biggest Nollywood award, the Best of Nollywood Award.
Two Brides and a Baby’s 12 nominations came from the Best Supporting actress (English), Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Revelation of the year male, Revelation of the year Female, Movie of the year, Cinematography of the year, Best use of costume, Director of the year, Editor of the year, Movie with the best sound, Screenplay of the year categories.
Produced by Blessing Effiom Egbe, and directed by Teco Benson, ‘Two Brides & a Baby’ is said to arrive at the Nigerian Cinemas in November.
‘Two Brides & a Baby’ is a beautifully crafted romantic comedy about a couple, Keche and Bankole who plan to showcase what they thought was a perfect union. They planned for a beautiful wedding ceremony and hoped for a blissful life thereafter until the unexpected happens! Now they must together fight for what they believe in or forever lose their hope of a happy life together. It all begins on the day before the wedding during the wedding rehearsal, surrounded by friends and family the every bride’s worst nightmare takes place! The groom’s ex girlfriend shows up, bringing along a basket full of drama! Every corner is shaken as a cupboard full of secrets are opened, exposing concealed reactions of everyone directly involved, including a challenged married couple and a troubled engaged couple.
